Zenkai
FAQ
Short answers on capsules, vaulting, fees, deposits, and fairness.
How does Zenkai work?
What is a capsule?
A capsule is a fixed-price open against a finite pool of authenticated collectibles. You pay the capsule price in USDnr and receive one specific item from that pool (or several if you multi-pull).
What do odds, EV, and floor mean?
- Odds — how the remaining pool is split across display tiers right now.
- Floor — lowest reference value still in the pool (often below the capsule price).
- Pack EV — average marked reference across the pool. It is an average, not a promise for your next open.
Are odds fixed when I open?
No. Odds reflect the current pool and update as items leave. The odds shown before you commit are the ones used for that open.
How does sell back (buyback) work?
After a pull, a timed offer may appear — typically around 85% of the current reference value for about 30 minutes. Those numbers are platform parameters and can change; trust the offer on screen. If you miss the window, you can still vault or list.
What does vaulting mean?
You own the item (digital title). We custody the physical card. Vaulting is not the same as shipping — the slab stays with us until you redeem, sell, or otherwise exit.
How do I get the physical card?
Request redemption from an eligible vaulted item. We ship after packing; the item burns at carrier handoff. Shipping is paid in USDnr. International deliveries are typically DDU — you handle import duties and taxes.
What fees does Zenkai charge?
- Capsules — you pay the listed capsule price (no extra platform open fee).
- Sell back — the spread vs reference is how buyback is priced (you receive the offer amount).
- Marketplace / auctions — sellers typically pay 2% of the sale (configurable).
- Withdrawals — no platform fee. Network conditions may still apply outside our sponsorship.
- Shipping — pass-through flat tiers when you redeem.
How do deposits and withdrawals work?
Deposit USDnr to your embedded wallet address (or convert USDC when that flow is available). Withdraw by confirming a destination address and amount. Balances are shown in dollars while USDnr is pegged. If the peg breaks meaningfully, buys and buybacks may pause.
What is USDnr?
USDnr is the settlement token on Zenkai. While pegged it is shown as $1. You use it for capsule opens, market buys, bids, and shipping. Holding crypto for gas is not required for normal app actions — gas is sponsored.
How do I know a pull was fair?
Each open uses commit–reveal: a pre-published seed commitment, mixed with your entropy and a future block hash, selects from the published pool. Paste a pull ID on Verify to recompute the checks in your browser.
How does the marketplace work?
List vaulted items at a fixed ask, accept offers, or run an English auction. Buyers pay in USDnr. While an item is listed or in auction escrow, redeem and buyback are blocked until the sale settles or cancels.
How do auctions work?
Highest bid wins when time ends. Late bids can extend the timer (anti-snipe). Your USDnr is escrowed while you are the high bidder; outbid funds return automatically.
Can I open more than one capsule at once?
Yes — up to 5 in one transaction. Opens draw without replacement from the same pool. If stock runs out mid-bundle, completed opens keep and unused payment is refunded in USDnr.
How do referrals work?
Share your invite link from Referrals. Invitees get $5 after their first paid capsule open; at $50 net capsule volume you each get another $5. Referrals never change odds or EV.
Who can use Zenkai?
You must be at least 18 and not located in an OFAC-sanctioned country or region. Access may be blocked by IP where required.
Is this gambling?
Zenkai is a collectibles re-packing and vaulting service for genuine trading cards — analogous to buying sealed product with unknown contents. We publish live odds, floor, and EV for transparency. See the Terms for the full legal framing.
